I live where I farm. I walk the vines almost every day, our family drinks the water from the well on our vineyard. That is enough incentive to try and grow grapes in the most sustainable and chemical-free way possible. I do not bother with organic certification because if given the choice of spraying or losing a crop... well, I am not about to lose a crop or make wine from crappy, moldy grapes.

This photo of a wave breaking at a spot called MAVERICKS in northern California was taken by our good friend Doug Acton. We call this "Chrome Wave" and it is on the label of our top-of-the line Cabernet Sauvignon. In winemaking and surfing, you are working with forces of nature that are constantly changing. The fun is when you are there at the right instant to capture something very, very special.

There is no cover charge, our way to thank the local Sonoma County community for supporting small family-run wineries.
