RRV Sauvignon Blanc
A liquid ode to freshness
This wine reflects the button-down relaxed elegance of the Russian River Valley, bursting with grapefruit and floral aromas and following with a refreshing mid-palate. The crisp (but not biting) acidity makes this a perfect wine to be paired with summer salads, oysters and fish.

| Composition |
Our Sauvignon Blanc comes from an organically farmed (but not-certified) vineyard called O'Neel no relation to the O'Neil surf brand). The vineyard is located on Hall Road in the midst of a foggy pocket between the city of Santa Rosa and the town of Sebastopol. The combination of sustainable farming practices which favor low crop levels and the cool growing conditions work together to create a wine with bright fruit flavors with and a lively natural acidity. This vintage is made from 100% grapes from this vineyard. |
| Fermentation |
Grapes are hand harvested at night into ½ ton containers and delivered to the winery early in the morning to preserve the freshness and natural acidity. We load the grapes into a press as whole clusters and press only the best juice fractions, stopping the operation if any bitterness or vegetal characters appear in the juice. The juice is fermented at cool temperatures in a mix of stainless steel tanks (90%) and neutral French oak barrels (10%) to enhance complexity. |
| Abstract |
This wine is lush with white peach, pomelo, and some tangerine flavors and aromas that blend together to create a layered complexity enrobed in a veil of freshness. Whether you are having a fresh green salad with fennel slices and pink grapefruit slices (one of my favorite summer starters) or a bowl of PEI mussels in broth, you will notice that the wine brings the flavors of the food together, and leaves the palate refreshed and yearning for more. The wine finishes with a delicate minerality and balanced acidity that soothes the soul! |
